Our heavy duty shelves are formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edge. Heavy duty class 1 shelves are made from heavy gauge rolled steel and have tube shaped front and rear edges with return bends resistance welded underneath the shelf. Heavy duty shelves have flanged sides and lapped corners, plus they are resistance welded to give rigid corners and add extra strength to the shelf. Also, the front edge is designed to protect against impact loads.
